1. Fox Prairie

Opened in 1970, Fox Prairie boasts of a traditional style course with 27 championship holes, a driving range, and practice green. It hosts the annual Indiana Golf Associations Tournament of Champions. This course has four sets of tees, allowing golfers to pick their yardage. Well-maintained fairways and greens give this course its high ratings in Golf Digest’s Places to Play. A clubhouse and well-stocked pro shop add to its popularity.

2. Pebble Brook Golf Club

This 36-hole championship has two interesting layouts to choose from. The South Course, with mature tree-lined fairways, is a traditional 18-hole course that was opened in 1972, while the North Course, built in 1990, has a more modern Scottish links-style design and is popular with most golfers because of its unique layout. Juniors can also learn to play and enjoy the game through their Smart Golf Academy program.

3. Stonycreek Golf Club

Named the Course of the Year by the Indiana Golf Course Owner Association in 2013, this 18-hole championship course opened in 1990 and has six sets of tees ranging from 3500 to 6500 yards. A nine-hole par 3 course was later opened in 2002 with holes averaging 100 yards for players who were short on time. Stonycreek also offers a junior golf program for younger players. A large practice facility and golf simulators help develop your skill.

4. Forest Park

This nine-hole course was built in 1927 and is one of the oldest in the county. Perfect for beginners, the course also holds challenges for the skilled player. A modern pro shop and snack shop add to the popularity of this course.

5. Bear Slide Golf Club

Ranked 14th best golf course in the country by Golf Advisor, this course is also one of the top 75 most affordable courses in the USA. The course is well-maintained with a Scottish links-style front, and the back has more trees in traditional style. Golf lessons from a PGA golf professional are available to give as a gift or for yourself. Weddings and other special events are available to host with one of the club’s experts available to assist.

6. The Gray Eagle Golf Club & Academy

This golf club and academy is the perfect place for a round of golf, business meetings, and social events. It features 18 holes of well-manicured fairways and greens. Perfect for all skill levels, it also features large indoor and outdoor driving ranges and practice facilities. Golf simulators are available as well as a junior golf program. Its pro shop is complete with golf apparel, equipment, and food and drinks to enjoy before or after playing a round.
