The 2020 Toyota RAV4 is one of the best compact SUVs in the market today. It is redesigned to offer elegant looks and exemplary performance. It is also one of the safest SUVs today – the IIHS named it among the top picks for the safest SUVs. The new RAV4 offers different trims to ensure every driver finds their best pick. It has several hybrid trims and two off-road models. Isn't this the best choice for your next compact SUV?

5 Reasons to Make the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Your Next Compact SUV

1. It Is a Trusted Vehicle

One way to know if a car is good is to check the sales numbers. The 2020 RAV4 is not only the best-selling Toyota vehicle; it also outsells all other small SUVs. These statistics prove the many ways the SUV is the perfect package. It also suggests that the car has a good resale value. If the market loves it this much, it definitely is an excellent vehicle.

2. Impressive Performance

The base trim of the new Toyota RAV4 comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The engine produces 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, making it the most potent base engine offered in the RAV4 class of SUVs. The vehicle performs well. It is smooth, and the acceleration is excellent. You will particularly appreciate how the drive remains smooth even as you increase speed. The automatic transmission is expertly tuned to ensure timely gear shifts.

3. Several Trims – Two Off-Roads

The new Toyota RAV4 is offered in several trim levels to ensure every driver gets what they love. Among these models are two well-equipped off-road machines. The Adventure and TRD trims are specially built to take you through the less-traveled trails. The Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive available on the two trims is designed to move 50 percent of the system torque to the rear wheels to increase traction.

4. Comfortable Cabin

The 2019 redesign of the RAV4 interior gave the vehicle an all-new look characterized by beauty and comfort. You will notice a change in the environment as soon as you enter the RAV4 cabin and occupy your space behind the wheel. The interior has a lot of soft surfaces, and it is beautiful to behold. There is sufficient airflow and plenty of headroom in the cabin. The seats are mounted low to increase the space above the head.

5. Excellent Safety System

The safety system available in the 2020 Toyota RAV4 is exclusive. Every modern vehicle features modern safety features, but the RAV4 has a longer list of such features. You will especially love it when you realize the standard ones.   The new RAV4 features a Cornering Brake Control, designed to improve how the vehicle handles turns. The Road Sign Assist can tell you the speed limit of the road you are traveling on and advise you on other road signs. The 2020 RAV4 is the first model to feature the Digital Rearview Mirror. Other standard features include the Lane departure alerts, Pedestrians and braking traffic warnings, and Blind Spot System.   If the new Toyota RAV4 sounds like the ideal choice for your next compact SUV, then the next step is to take it for a test drive. How Often Should You Change Your Toyota's Oil?

Oil is one of your Toyota's most essential fluids, as it enhances engine efficiency and enables it to work effectively. It slowly degrades over time, and older oil can cause serious damage to your engine if it's not replaced. As your Toyota dealer, we want to tell you more about what oil does for your engine and why a regular oil change is important. more What Oil Does Oil is pumped through your engine by the oil pump. As it moves through your engine, the oil coats engine components with a friction-resistant coating. This coating allows engine components to move at an efficient speed and suffer no friction damage. This is particularly important, as many engine components naturally generate friction, which could lead to additional damage if they're not protected. The oil's fast movement helps to cool hot engine components, which reduces the engine temperature. The oil contains various additives, and two of the most important common additives break down carbon buildup in your engine, which could lead to blockages and reduce rust. Types of Oil There are three types of oil: synthetic, semi-synthetic, and conventional. Synthetic oil is created in a laboratory, semi-synthetic oil is a mixture of synthetic and conventional oil, while conventional oil is naturally obtained by drilling into the ground. Regardless of the type of oil used, all oil will slowly break down and become less effective. The type of oil in your engine determines its replacement time. You can easily identify the oil in your Toyota by checking the details in your car manual. When to Change the Oil Synthetic oil usually needs replacement every six months or 6,000 miles. Semi-synthetic oil has an active life of five months or 5,000 miles, and conventional oil has the lowest replacement time of three months or 3,000 miles. Why Change the Oil? Oil absorbs dirt, minute metal fragments, and other debris as it passes through your engine. This debris accumulates in the oil and causes it to move slower. Slower moving is less effective at reducing the engine temperature and doesn't supply the same level of friction protection it once did. Reduced friction protection leads to increased component damage and potentially more serious damage. Changing the Oil Our technicians drain the old oil and test it to identify any potential unseen engine issues that need repair. Once the oil has been drained, we remove and replace the old oil filter. We reseal the oil sump where the oil is stored and test it for leaks. Once the sump is sealed we refill your oil. Changing the oil extends your engine life and improves engine efficiency. Visit our service department today at Ed Martin Toyota in Noblesville, IN.
