Tough and Durable: Discover the 2021 Toyota Tundra
Choosing a vehicle that is tough, durable, and reliable is essential. The 2021 Toyota Tundra is a truck that is built to do it all. So if you are hauling trailers for work, play, or preparing for your next family vacation, this truck is up for the task.

Tough and Durable: Discover the 2021 Toyota Tundra

The Toyota Tundra has six models available to you: the SR, the SR5, the Limited, the Platinum, the 1794 Edition, and the TRD Pro. The SR and SR5 have seating for six in the cabin, while the other four models have seating for five. In addition, these configurations come in twelve external color options, including the popular Barcelona red metallic.

Performance

This truck is powered by the powerful i-Force 5.7L V8 engine, which produces an impressive 381 horsepower and 401lb-ft of torque. Additionally, the six-speed automatic transmission helps to combine the acceleration of this truck with smooth shifting for a fantastic ride. All 4WD models of the Tundra include the A-TRAC system. This allows the vehicle to optimize traction across both axels at the same time, making sure you have the most traction possible. The automatic limited-slip differential is standard on all Tundra models. This system can apply brakes to your wheels individually, rather than cutting engine power, for improved control and power distribution. In addition to this, the Tundra is built with powerful brakes that include huge 13.9-inch front brake rotors. These brakes mean you can always stop this truck when you need to, regardless of what you are towing.

Capability

The Tundra has an incredible available 10,200lb towing capacity. This number is capable due to the triple tech heavy-duty frame and integrated tow-hitch receiver. Every model of the Tundra comes standard with a tow package to help you when you need to take a trailer. Additionally, this truck has an available 1,730lb payload capacity; this ensures last-minute additions to your trip are easily handled. The Tundra's 38-gallon fuel tank is one of the largest in its class and ensures that you can drive farther than you have been able to before. In addition, the available integrated trailer brake control, ITBC, and trailer sway control, TSC, are amazing systems that allow you to adjust trailer braking based on weight. In addition to this, when the system detects trailer sway, it can apply brakes to the wheels individually to help you maintain control over a troublesome trailer.

Interior

This truck has fold-up rear seats so you can access an incredible amount of storage area in the cabin. In addition, the stunning class-exclusive available rear power window allows you to lower the entire rear glass with just the touch of a button. Inside the cabin, you will also find an 8-inch high-resolution touchscreen with available integrated navigation that allows you to manage your media and devices easily. Your truck is important. This is why you need it to run at its best at all times. Contact us at Ed Martin Toyota of Noblesville today to schedule an appointment with one of our certified service technicians.

How Often Should You Change Your Toyota's Oil?

Oil is one of your Toyota's most essential fluids, as it enhances engine efficiency and enables it to work effectively. It slowly degrades over time, and older oil can cause serious damage to your engine if it's not replaced. As your Toyota dealer, we want to tell you more about what oil does for your engine and why a regular oil change is important. more What Oil Does Oil is pumped through your engine by the oil pump. As it moves through your engine, the oil coats engine components with a friction-resistant coating. This coating allows engine components to move at an efficient speed and suffer no friction damage. This is particularly important, as many engine components naturally generate friction, which could lead to additional damage if they're not protected. The oil's fast movement helps to cool hot engine components, which reduces the engine temperature. The oil contains various additives, and two of the most important common additives break down carbon buildup in your engine, which could lead to blockages and reduce rust. Types of Oil There are three types of oil: synthetic, semi-synthetic, and conventional. Synthetic oil is created in a laboratory, semi-synthetic oil is a mixture of synthetic and conventional oil, while conventional oil is naturally obtained by drilling into the ground. Regardless of the type of oil used, all oil will slowly break down and become less effective. The type of oil in your engine determines its replacement time. You can easily identify the oil in your Toyota by checking the details in your car manual. When to Change the Oil Synthetic oil usually needs replacement every six months or 6,000 miles. Semi-synthetic oil has an active life of five months or 5,000 miles, and conventional oil has the lowest replacement time of three months or 3,000 miles. Why Change the Oil? Oil absorbs dirt, minute metal fragments, and other debris as it passes through your engine. This debris accumulates in the oil and causes it to move slower. Slower moving is less effective at reducing the engine temperature and doesn't supply the same level of friction protection it once did. Reduced friction protection leads to increased component damage and potentially more serious damage. Changing the Oil Our technicians drain the old oil and test it to identify any potential unseen engine issues that need repair. Once the oil has been drained, we remove and replace the old oil filter. We reseal the oil sump where the oil is stored and test it for leaks. Once the sump is sealed we refill your oil. Changing the oil extends your engine life and improves engine efficiency. Visit our service department today at Ed Martin Toyota in Noblesville, IN.
