With the optional i-FORCE MAX hybrid setup, the Tacoma delivers an impressive 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque.
With the gas engine, the Tacoma can tow up to 6,500 pounds. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while four-wheel drive is available across most trims. The Tacoma can be fitted with a coil-spring rear suspension that improves ride quality over the traditional leaf-spring design.
Interior Features and Comfort
The Tacoma is available in XtraCab and Double Cab configurations, which accommodate two to five passengers. The Tacoma features an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen in most trims, but a 14-inch screen is an available upgrade. All models support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. TRD Pro and Trailhunter trims include four auxiliary switches for off-road accessories integrated into the dashboard, which can now handle up to 95 amps over last year’s 30 amps.
