The Highlander Hybrid sets a new standard for curb appeal with its contoured shape. This popular SUV offers five trim levels: Hybrid LE, Hybrid XLE, Bronze Edition, Hybrid Limited, and the high-end Hybrid Platinum. LED fog lights, LED taillights, and all-season tires are standard on all Hybrid Highlander models. The Hybrid LE and Hybrid XLE feature 18-inch wheels, and the Hybrid Limited and Hybrid Platinum come with 20-inch wheels. Toyota sets the distinctive Bronze Edition trim apart with 18-inch bronze-finish alloy wheels, bronze-colored illuminated door sills, and a hands-free power liftgate.

Toyota engineered the 2023 Highlander Hybrid with a fuel-efficient, emission-reducing hybrid powertrain. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine combines with two magnet synchronous electric motors to deliver 243 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. An electronically controlled continuously variable transmission routes the engine's power to a standard front-wheel-drive or optional four-wheel-drive system. An on-demand electric all-wheel-drive system uses a third motor to drive the rear wheels, but it doesn't change this SUV's power or torque rating.
