Where to Find the Best Mexican Food in Carmel, IN

Sometimes there is a hole in our lives that only a burrito can fill. That ooey-gooey, cheesy, beany goodness with a great kick of chili is just the ultimate comfort food. We have taken all the hard work out of it for you and found the best Mexican food you could hope for in Carmel, IN.

Head Downtown for Hearty Mexican Eats

There are some great restaurants in the downtown area. On South Guilford Road, the Caliente Mexican Restaurant offers some really filling combo plates. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, and the staff are eager to please. Or you can try Verde - Flavours of Mexico. They are located on West Main Street and do amazing street tacos. It's always busy and bustling there, which shows the quality!

Pick Up the Pace!

For a more upbeat eating experience, why not visit The Toros? They are located on Gray Road in the north of Carmel. Their Toros Nachos are the stuff of legend, and the Carne Asado is definitely one of the best in town too in this lively bar and restaurant. They offer great food for sit-down dining as well as for takeout.

Drive Out on the North Michigan Road

There is a small cluster of great restaurants just out of town on the Michigan Road. Try the "big as yo' face" burritos at Chuy's, or head to El Rodeo for a more intimate dining experience. El Rodeo features a consistently high standard of salsa and queso - a really important factor when finding quality Mexican food in our book!

Travel to the Pine Ridge Estates

The Riviera Maya Mexican Restaurant is located out on Crosspoint Boulevard. They offer a more traditional Mexican fare, which is fresh and authentic. It's nice to be able to find something a little out of the ordinary on the menu. Plus you will love their endless basket of chips which is served with delicious salsa.   Or you could try Red Habenero out on East 96th Street. They have moved to a new location recently and so have been settling in, but they do a really good enchilada plate that is not to be missed.

A Special Mention

No write-up of finding Mexican food in Carmel would be complete without a mention of Bugambilias Mexican Cuisine. They have a slightly more unique menu compared to some other places, although all your traditional favorites are featured, too. We recommend the Arroz Con Pollo which is full of flavor.   You just need to know the right districts to head for when finding the most enticing Mexican fare in Carmel. There are some great eateries located downtown, but don't pass on the outlying regions of the town. Look for the busy venues with big queues and smiling customers to guarantee you're getting the best food and service. Drop by Ed Martin Toyota and shop our new Toyota specials once you are done eating.

Does Your Toyota Need an Alternator Repair?

The alternator in your Toyota produces electrical power for all your car's systems and devices. The alternator will eventually wear out, and you'll need an alternator repair or replacement. As your Toyota dealer, we can help you with any alternator problem. These are some signs your alternator could be failing. more Random Electrical Problems Your Toyota's electrical system is designed for stability and efficiency. If you start to experience random electrical problems, you could have a dying alternator. The alternator, as we've seen, produces the power for your car's systems. When an alternator starts to fail, its electrical production starts to drop. This problem isn't readily apparent, as your alternator always produces more power than your car needs. When the alternator has worn down and can't produce enough power for all your car's systems. Your Toyota's computer will take over and apportion the available power to the systems that need it the most. This can lead to strange situations like a window that stops closing and then suddenly closes a few minutes later. We'll test your alternator, and we can replace a worn-out alternator very quickly. Damaged Battery A damaged battery can cause your alternator to fail and burn out. Your alternator recharges the battery and starts this process as soon as the engine is switched on. The battery isn't recharged at full power, as this places too much strain on the alternator. Instead, the alternator charges the battery at full power for five minutes and then reduces its charging strength. The alternator depends on the battery to send a signal that the first five-minute charge has been received. If the battery is damaged, it won't send that signal. Your alternator will continue to try and charge your battery at full power and wear itself out in the process. Depending on the damage, we may be able to fix your alternator, or we may need to replace it. Failed Rectifier The rectifier is a small component in the alternator that converts power. As the crankshaft turns, it causes the alternator belt to run across the alternator pulley. The pulley spins in response to the belt's movement, and this powers the alternator. The spinning movement enables the magnets in the center of the alternator to produce magnetic energy. The magnetic energy is captured by the stator and converted into AC. Your car's systems, however, require DC power. The rectifier's job is to convert AC to DC. If the rectifier fails, this conversion won't happen, and your car will rapidly lose power. We can replace the rectifier to fix this problem. If you suspect an alternator problem, call us right away at Ed Martin Toyota. Image courtesy of cottonbro studios via Pexels
