The 2024 Toyota 4Runner’s Off-Road Capabilities

The 2024 4Runner has seven trim levels. All models also have a 4.0-liter V6 engine with an output of 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque, which is paired with a five-speed transmission. Every trim level is cleared to tow a maximum of 5,000 lbs. 


The 4Runner is full of performance tech, such as hill start assist control, which is standard on all models. The ground clearance for this SUV is nine inches for 4×2 models and 9.6 inches for 4s4 models. Some models have a part-time 4WD system, while others are equipped with full-time 4WD. 

SR5

SR5 Premium

TRD Off-Road

This trim comes with part-time 4WD, a locking rear differential, multi-terrain select, and crawl control. Other key features of this model are LED high beams, a skid plate covering the engine and front suspension, 17-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels, roof rails, and mudguards for the front and rear. 

TRD Off-Road Premium

This model has power-assisted four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, mud-and-snow tires, and strong 17-inch alloy wheels. This trim also has a power liftgate rear window with jam protection. 

Limited

The Limited trim can also seat five or seven passengers and has key performance features such as X-REAS Sport Enhancement suspension. This model also has automatic on/off headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, chrome exterior accents, and a windshield wiper de-icer. 

TRD Pro

The highest trim level is outfitted with performance features such as crawl control, TRD FOX high-performance shocks, TRD front springs, and all-terrain tires. This trim also comes with 17-inch TRD alloy wheels in matte black, a TRD roof rack, mudguards, a power moonroof, and an in-key remote keyless entry system.
