The Toyota Highlander has been one of the cornerstones of Toyota’s lineup since it was introduced more than 20 years ago, and the 2023 model continues that legacy and commitment to reliability and performance. Keep reading for more information on the various trim levels available for the Highlander in 2023.

L

Powered by a 3.5L V6 that pushes out 295 horsepower that comes in both AWD and FWD variants, the L trim comes prepared to tackle whatever you may throw at it. This trim comes standard with a three-row cloth seating configuration that can comfortably sit eight, an 8-inch infotainment screen, and a 4.2-inch digital display gauge for the driver.

LE

The LE trim adds a few features designed to make your drive more convenient and comfortable, like a power liftgate, leather trim throughout the interior of the cabin, heated side mirrors, and LED headlights. The LE also comes with additional safety features, notably a blind spot monitoring system and rear cross-traffic alert to help you avoid collisions while reversing.

The LE trim offers the option to choose between the V6 and a 2.5L inline-four hybrid powertrain that produces 243 horsepower.

XLE

The XLE has all the optional features of the previous trims, but upgrades the cloth seats to leatherette upholstery and switches out the second-row bench for captain’s chairs, meaning that it can sit seven people instead. Additional features of note include a wireless charging pad, a sunroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and unique two-tone 18-inch wheels.

Bronze Edition

The Bronze Edition trim is only available with the hybrid powertrain and shares the same features as the XLE trim with a unique bronze exterior styling. It also adds a digital rearview mirror to see around cargo and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

XSE

The XSE matches the XLE trim but is only available with the V6 engine. It offers a sporty aesthetic with a unique grille, carbon fiber accents, red leather seating, a twin-tip exhaust, and 20-inch wheels.

Limited

The Limited trim carries over the same feature list from the XLE, and then adds on power-folding side mirrors, heated and ventilated front seats, and an overhead microphone that lets the driver amplify their voice through the cabin (perfect for getting your kids’ attention!), and a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat.

Platinum Limited

The Platinum Limited continues on the foundation of the Limited trim, adding features like a projected heads-up display and an upgraded 12.3-inch screen for the infotainment system. A 360-degree HD camera helps make it easier for you to maneuver through tight spaces, and curve-adapting LED headlights can help you track your path late at night.

The interior comes in a unique caramel shading, while the exterior gets a unique set of 20-inch wheels and chrome accents.
