If your computer receives the wrong information, this will cause further problems. An incorrect amount of oxygen can cause misfiring, damage to the spark plugs and cylinders, and potentially damage the catalytic converter. We can test the sensors and replace any damaged ones. Misfiring Misfiring is incomplete detonation during combustion. Combustion requires the correct mixture of air and fuel. These elements mix in the intake manifold and are injected into the cylinders. In each cylinder, the air-fuel mix is heavily compressed and then ignited by the spark plug. In the case of misfiring, either the mix is incorrect, or the compression isn't sufficient. When a cylinder misfires, you feel a shudder from the engine. Misfiring wastes fuel as most of the contents of a misfiring cylinder are dumped into the exhaust and not ignited.
